Facebook has become a part of people's lives today. It has a lot of uses that people may or may not see. These uses include social and business. People can easily read about and reunite with others. With pros there are always cons. Some cons include posting and your career. What I would like to discuss are the cons of this social networking site and how it affects society.
People mainly use Facebook for being social. Checking up on their friends/family or meeting other people. Now this may sound good but there are always downfalls. One of these downfalls is the ability to post anything. Some take advantage of this option and will post anything they want. I have seen people post bad thoughts about other people. One of the major problems about this is that once something on the Internet it can spread like wildfire.
Another problem with Facebook is that potential employers use it to look into who their hiring. This is one of reasons that I don’t post anything that could cause discomfort with anyone. Stuff like rumors or photos of inappropriate behaviour.
Just because I have discussed the cons of Facebook doesn't mean that there are not a lot pros. This is a tool that can be used in both good and bad ways. It is not the company’s fault but the user’s. I believe this because we choose what to and not to post. What we post will end up reflecting on ourselves.
