Medicinal Marijuana and Cerebral Palsy, in my opinion, go hand in hand. I personally have found that upon using it my life has started to become a little bit easier. For example my typing skills have increased tremendously.
I have found out at a young age that having a disability can be very stressful. Not being able to play and move around like the other kids. And if that wasn’t stressful enough, making friends was even more difficult. This is speaking from my experiences throughout my life.
I was nineteen when I first tried Marijuana. I remember how good it felt to gain more control of my body. My movements were more relaxed and calm. I could sit still and breathe easy. My stress levels had lowered dramatically. This was a new first for me. Ever since then I have been smoking Marijuana.
Another issue that Marijuana has helped me with is sleeping. Having Cerebral Palsy causes me to be constantly moving all night. After upon smoking it my muscles relax and stop wildly moving around. This makes it easier for me to fall asleep. Before I started smoking Marijuana if my hands started to shake I would sit on them. This would be a temporary solution as my muscles would begin to stiffen and become sore. That is not an issue for me any longer. My muscles are less tense and I don’t have any more pain. My wrists were the muscles that suffered the most. They feel so much better now and I’m beginning to have better movements with my hands and arms. Even my walking has improved. People notice that I have been walking more upright and with a better balance.
