My thoughts on strengths and weaknesses

Everybody needs help and it isn't that they are a lesser person, it is because we all have our own strengths and weaknesses. One strength that everybody should have is admitting that they have weaknesses. Our strengths and weaknesses are what makes us who we are. Its what separates and brings everyone together as a community. If everyone was the same the world would be a dull and dark place.

Sometimes I find that my disability makes shopping for me a bit difficult. For example, since my hands shake and it doesn't make it easy when grabbing for something at the grocery store. Especially when I am trying to grab a glass bottle that is surrounded by others. Although, as I become older I find it a lot easier to ask for assistance for these miniscule tasks. Another task at the grocery store that I usually need some help with is the debit machine. The slot for the card is thin and small so sometimes I ask the cashier for help placing the card in.

I love being different now! Back when I was younger I hated it but now my perspective has changed. Once we can all realize that being different is a good thing then the world has a chance to become a better, brighter place.

  1. this is such a good way of thinking of it. yes it must be extremely frustrating not being able to grab a bottle off a shelf, but employees are there to help out, and you should never be ashamed to ask for help. the world sure would be boring if everyone was the same.

What do you think?
